BlackUltra,
How is your SL treating you, can you give us some updates? Is been a while.
I am more and more interested in European cars now, mainly is because their build quality is getting higher now and I am starting to get tired of driving Japanese cars after 18 years.
The latest 7-series is very nice now and of course Bentleys and Rolls Royces are so tempting when their used prices eventually reach down to earth level.
I just test drove a 2002 Bentley Arnage R 2 days ago, but it was less impressive then I imagine they are.

I agree with you on the 7 series, probably one of my favorite luxo cars of all time (my fav would probably have to be the Maserati Quattroporte). I know that this is a pointless comparison, but how was the Bentley next to the LS in terms of quietness, ride quality, build quality?

Actually it is not a pointless comparison since 99-02 Arnage is at the same price point as a 06 LS430 UL. That's why I am interested in it.
I don't know if you believe me in my opinion of the Bentley because it is shocking to me when I found out, but since you ask, I can tell you.
Quietness: This is the worst quality on the Bentley, the wind noise is as loud as in a Camry, even the ES300 is quieter. I can't hear any road noise but that could be because there is so much wind noise.
Ride quality: It is absolutely the best I have ever felt in any car, BY FAR. You can't feel anything on the road but it is totally compose and in control.
build quality is worse then all modern Lexus, I am guessing is because it is a low volume handbuild car.
