Every morning on my way to work, I stop at a gas station across the street from business park where I work. This morning a '99ish ls400 puled in to the gas station with me. I parked at a pump and the ls400 drove a little past me and parked few feet away. I got out of the car and started heading inside (to get my energy drink). As I was walking by this [mint] ls400, some old guy got out of it. The dude looked at me and looked at my car and gave me a dirty look. Inside the store that old guy gave me the dirty look and the snotty face again..

Is that how most Lexus owners are? Because that's what i been noticing ever since I got my Super-tanker size boat of a car. I figured everyone would be cool with me [considering how great everyone is on this forum]. Every Lexus dealer or owner always looked down on me, but everyone else always compliment me on the car. Can you guys relate? or am I on crack?

That looks about as tricked out as mine..

I sometimes get the look. My car is identical (stock). When I'm heading too and from work and get out of the car for anything, nary a glance. On the weekends, or at night, when I'm not dressed in business attire, it's a different story (if I am alone or with my wife). If I have my two kids with me, it's back to the normal "no glare" situation.

It happens, don't dwell on it. Next time blow the guy a kiss.

The LS400 owners I encounter are positive toward my car and me. Then again, I'm also close to old fogey status.

maybe the guy just has a dirty look on his face all the time. You know, when you get old you loose muscles in your face and things start to droop. You should've recommended that he go see a Dr for a facelift

It's just how people are... those that love and those that hate. You just live closer to more haters. Personally for me, I find myself smiling and yielding in traffic to fellow Lexus owners more, while giving the MB and BMW owners the cold shoulder. If you don't use your turn signals, you better not even think of getting in front of me... I guess in certain situations, I'm a hater too.

My '04 is also stock except for full tint and I don't really notice any hate. I've actually had a few people ask what vehicle it is because I replaced the LS430 with Celsior badge.
