I got my 05 LS this past March but never posted any pictures of it. I washed all three of them today, so I figured I'd line them all up and take a few picks... I compounded the LS430 this past March using Zaino's compound and a Porter Cable oscillating buffer. It came out pretty good...

Beautiful detail job on the LS. Nice looking stable you got there.

The 91 has been my project car for the last few years. I've been restoring it. I've done about 90% of the work on it myself.
IMHO, Lexus drew a line in the sand for the competition when they released the 1st Gen LS. I think it signified a new affordable standard of luxury and quality for the luxury car market. I like owning a car that represents that turning point.
I think Mercedes, Jaguar, BMW and Cadillac were shaking in their boots when this car was released...
The car drives about 97% as well as when it came off the showroom floor. I'm working on the last 3%...

It really isn't that difficult to get it to look that good. First clay bar the car, then use a Porter Cable 7424, a couple of buffing pads (light cut, then polishing pad), a spray bottle of pad lubricant, microfiber towels and a good quality compound / polish. I really like the Zaino compound. I've tried a bunch of others and its my favorite.

I was hesitant to buy a black LS, but it really isn't as bad as I thought it would be to maintain. I think the key is to keep a good coat of wax (in my case Zaino products) on it. Whenever it rains, the dirt / dust falls right off the car and it looks like I just washed it. I use it on all my cars...
I took the LS430 over to Nantucket last month. There's only one car wash on the island and it does a crummy job. It doesn't even have a dryer. So I didn't wash the car while I was over there. The day we were heading off island, one of my neighbors came over when I was loading up the LS. She said she'd been eyeing the car and wondered how I kept the car so clean on the island. I told her it was the Zaino!

Just strange that you'd have three sedans. I can understand the 400 (historical and play car) and 430, but the ES? I presume the ES is your "beater" car for supermarket duty?
