Measures taken to increase ambient lighting?

Lexus Test Driver
Idk how it is for Lexus, but for BMW there were a few vendors that carried LED interior lighting. Looked cool as hell, you get a whiter/bluer glow when you open the doors. Not sure if that's what you're after or not.
Are you wanting more interior lighting when you get in (ie find things easier) or when you are on the road?
EDIT: After reading your post more carefully it seems like you want have some more lighting while driving at night? If so, try dimmer LEDs. I think that's what ambient lighting is on the new S-class.

Personally, i installed amber LED's to light up the center stack, console area. Looks cool, but useful to provide you with just enough lighting to see the passenger when exterior lighting conditions are too dim, but not strong enough to be noticed by an everday passenger.
And yes Grand LS4, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Did you replace the original bulb that is there, or add a whole new set-up? If you just replaced it, then maybe I can do that with the footwells also. Only problem is, with LED's if not enough power is being sent to the bulb, it will flicker - I'm afraid of when the lights dim after I put it in Drive.
