I found that new joint part # but on to different schemes on Amayama parts catalog it either looks like the pic below or as the original straight flexible shaft I have on my car...

Both telescope and tilt motors are not working since I got my 03 few years ago. Finally want to replace them.
Questions:
1) I checked my fuses, they are good. So can I assume if I unplug either motors, I should get any voltage/reading from a volt meter while moving the up/down/in/out control? I don't want to spend $ getting the parts and end up it is not the issue with the motors.
2) If you guys have any good way to trouble shoot before getting new parts, please let me know.
