Introduction - 2006 LS430 w/ Custom Luxury Package
Just wanted to introduce myself. I picked up an '06 LS430 with the Custom Luxury package recently, and it is the nicest car I've ever owned. I don't know why it took me so long to buy a Lexus, but now I know why people rave about them.
My car is black/black with the antique walnut trim and chrome 18" wheels. I purchased the car CPO with 54K miles on it (one-owner leased vehicle). My kids call it "The Limo".
Friends and family think the car is too flashy, but my motto is "life is too short to drive a boring car"!

Welcome - enjoy the car. If you love great cars then you should drive an LS.

Welcome and congrats. I think the only things that make my LS430 look flashy are the optional chrome wheels. Otherwise, it is a very understated luxury car with my painted winter wheels.

sounds like a nice car, enjoy it... some people used to say that to me about my car but i just read in car and driver that brand new ford explorer's are going for 40k and 50k as tested for their luxo version... i'll never be able to afford a brand new ford explorer with the nice package now, but i can still enjoy my 05 UL that was a lot cheaper

50K for an Explorer? When did Ford become a luxury make?
The LS430 is still a boring vehicle at times, but in a luxurious and nice kind of way...
I have a blk/blk CL also... 2004 though. I tinted the glass 30% back and 50% front and it helped a lot with keeping the heat down in summer times. You'll have many many many years of enjoyment.
