Default what do i need to know about a 2005?

Hi, I just put a deposit on a 2005 ls430 tonight. It has 76k on the clock. it is white with tan int. and does not have the premium package. I got it for 19750, and it is a local car with all the service records complete. clean title, no damage.

So, what do I need to know? the only thing i don't like about the car is the drivers window squeeks when I roll it down, other than that it is a nice car.

I know it will need a 90k service. but what else? do the suspensions last a while? any drawbacks to the 2005?

I just want to add my ipod to the car and I think i will be happy.

No problems man especially if it has been maintained one of the most dependable cars ever built, especially in its class. Mine squeeks also once in a while. You can probably put the belt off till 100 k no worries. Suspension is pretty solid unless air suspension even then not too bad. You probably want to check the air suspension if it has it and get a good mechanic to look er over.

If it is not premium what pkg is it, headlamp washers?. Good luck!!

Welcome! Check the service history on lexus.com under the owner's section. You'll need to register and enter the VIN.

Remember on these cars, the premium package is one step above base with cooled front seats but no nav.

I assume it is just the base package. it doesn't have the bigger wheels, and it doesn't have nav. So I think it is just the base model. thanks for any help. oh also, the service on the car is really good, all serviced here at a local dealer.

Do you have parking sensors? If so you have premium. Snap some pics.

As for problems, there really aren't any (I haven't encountered any in the 5-6 months I've had the 04).

As for connecting the ipod, you can get a high tech replacement that integrates your ipod into the screen of the nav (not sure about just the radio). Vaistech is very popular here and will run you a few hundred $$ but you will have to take apart some of the dash to install it. I just run a casette tape adapter that connects to my iphone (probably the easiest way). Buy a good one and the sound quality is excellent (no worse than my aux plug in for the 3 series I had). It looks a bit old school, but that's about all the cons.

The base pkg is pretty rare and not that sought after as it does not have the smart key, parking sensors etc cooled seats yur not missing much. You might be paying to much though..

$15K - $18K might be a better value (see pic below for wholesale price) but we are not in your shoes so as long as you're okay with $19.75K then that's all that matters. I have a 2001 with very high miles and still running strong.

only issue you may find is the Telescoping steering wheel may not go in/out - but up/down should be fine. Price may be a little high, but if well maintained and clear I
think these cars are worth the extra dough - have you tried to talk them down some?
also with gas prices on the rise - more of these cars will start dropping in price - so you may want to wait it out a bit.

It should be a little lower if it doesn't have navigation.
Then again, it may vary depending on your region/availability of used LS.
