Lately, I've noticed alot of members in Michigan. I am looking for a good mechanic and/or shop in our area. While I do alot myself, I would like to find a dealer alternative for the "big" stuff. I prefer metro Detroit but will travel, any suggestions?

I took this from the "Any Michiganders in here" thread on the Great Lakes regional chapter. I haven't used them so perhaps someone that did recommend them and did use them in the past can chime in.

I 'll also appreciate any recommendations. With the local dealer in Southfield charging $110 hourly rate it's getting too expensive. I do lot of things myself. I had a friend working for a local independent GM shop and we did more serious stuff together but he was recently let go.
