I don't want to use a rf, or a cassette thing, they never sound good. Do I just need a cable for the aux? or do I need to get a special kit? i don't have the ml system, just the base radio with the 6 cd changer and cassette

In my 2005, i used Scosche AXIPTA and it worked great. It gives you ipod and aux options and its cheap.

Are you referring to scrolling through songs?

I only drive my car on weekends so i don't use it that often. I actually bought this product of the use of the aux port because i have a droid, so the ipod features aren't used that often. I will try to find out this weekend and get back to you. You can also go to the Scosche website and speak with online support, as i have used them and the support was great.
