What goo did they stick in there? Is it something that is going to ooze out onto the wheels and tires in the heat of the summer? Is it going to cause complications when you have to put new tires on the wheels in the future?

do not know. it looked like they only poured it around the outside after they aired it back up just sorta like spraying soapy water but it was a thick colored gooey stuff maybe green or brown (i'm a little color blind). hopefully they sprayed it all off after the test was completed. i'm not sure what type of tire sealant stuff they used but hopefully they took all of these things into consideration, as well as balancing it afterwards...

Did tire shop find the cause and solve the issue?

The tire shop is telling me that in 4 days of sitting intheir shop that the tire has not lost any pressure so they are trying to tell me that it only seems to be happening when its under the load while on the car.

Regardless, I bought a new set of wheels and a new set of tires this tells me that no matter what the problem is (wheel or tire), that it should not be my fault and should be fixed at no charge or little charge to me. Am I incorrect in this assessment?

The tire tech is gonna mount it on his car and let it sit for a day and since he says he has an ls430 of his own it shouldn't be long before he notices the same issues that I did with the air leaking out.

I'm getting pretty agitated and just want this fixed since its a brand new wheel and tire but what are my options?

How much initial pressure are you running? I'm running 225/245 on my 9"/10" setup and it's holding pressure fine.

I know on my old 21" setup, when the pressure got too low from temperature changes, the bead would leak.

i am running 40 lbs of pressure and the reverse seems to be happening here. it leaks out quickly from 40 to 30 but then when it hits 30 it leaks out very slowly then.

Damn Bronson I didn t know you were still having issues with this. They should just reinstall a new valve stem correctly. If that doesn t do it maybe the wheel company didn t seal the barrel good enough. I hope you get this all worked out soon bro!!
