Default Painted Wheels on an LS430?

Do you think painted wheels are cool?

After watching some Japanese drift program a few weeks back, i "photoshopped" this image to add some wheel bling. Think this sorta thing is common in the drifting/racing community. BTW, i tried to find the LS430/Celsior that was drifting on that program, but didn't find anything online.

I'm not sure about that particular pshopped color, but it would look great if it were dark grey IMO especially for a dark car like yours.

That image just scarred my eyes. Leave the painted wheels at silver, black, or gray.

Caddy... i knew you'd have a problem with it. IIRC, you shot down another photo that was posted on an unrelated thread

To be totally honest, I think the stock non-chromed 5 spokes look the best. They have a silvery finish that always looks good and shows off the beauty of those wheels. I want a set so badly, just need to sell my current 17s to someone....

That bentley has some nice *** rims, but I think it would look much better if they were black, grey, white or silver. Idk maybe I just have really boring taste. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying I wouldn't. To each his own right?

Colored wheels can look good as long as you have a theme going and it flows well. But coloring stock wheels are a "no go" for me. IMHO.

Hey, Im an avid Air Jordan collector. None of them are that ugly

Almost any wheel you buy these days are painted, so nothing wrong with painted wheels per se. But yeah, that color is truly atrocious and embarrassing. Silver, gunmetal/titanium, maybe even black painted is just fine. Anything outside that color family for wheels, especially on a car like the LS, is just plain wrong.

That is a sure way to get on the "fail" list.

I suppose of Paris can drive a pink Bentley or if she chooses to get her LF-A painted pink, anything will go.

I actually like the red wheels with the fully saturated wild color a lot.

With stock conservative color, the red wheels just look out of place. Like a nun wearing 5 inch pumps.

Imo wheels on an LS should be either silver, diamond cut, or polished/chrome.
