Question I was wondering if I was to paint the roof of my silver ls 430 would it look bad or steal from the classy look.. Can anyone help me?? Have a paint appointment on Wednesday wonder what u guys thinking before I goo if all is good I will post pictures when it is done

black roof is not for Lexus.
If you want to experiment, dont paint the roof, but put a black sticker. If you like it, leave it, if you dont, take it off.

True ....I wanted to go that route at first.. I'm so used to seeing the new benz and es 350 and etc with the black roof .. Looks real good to me!!!

in the LS430 ultimate picture thread they have a few in there I believe, I know they have a white one w/ blk top....I like it alot, alot of the new cars are doing it. So....it won't take away from the luxury-ness of it.

Yes I like it a lot I think I'm just going to go a do my body man wants to charge me 300. Just want a different look . I also seen the white ls 430 in the trends the only thing about those pics that throw me off are the black headlights

Saw a new pearl white S550 Sport with black roof parked in front of my house. It looked pretty cool. I think it would look fine for the LS460. The LS430 is a little conservative looking .

The difference is the S550 wasnt a guy that went out and got his S roof painted black, its a glass panoramic tinted roof. Painting a roof black on a car like an LS, IMO, is ghetto.

Even the new Nissan trucks are coming with it I guess I'll find out how it looks when it's done if I font like I guess I'll paint it back figured it would look good cuz the car is so wide plus it's dropped...

save yourself the trouble and do it in vinyl - which you can keep it you like it and peel off if you don't - and you can easily do it yourself.


I'd like to see it too, and I think it will look fine.

This would cost you a bit more but still..... you can always take it off

Agree with the wrap idea. Cheaper, looks just as good, and is easily reversible.
