Default Reset Check engine

New member but longtime clublexus.com user. Would you use the same steps on resetting the check engine light as resetting the VSD warning. I left my gas top loose and the VSD light came on. I took to auto repair store to check what VSD warning. Shortly after they checked with code reader. Check engine light came on.

What code did you get for the check engine. Cause if there is a code its just gonna keep bringing the check engine back. If I'm correct you said first gas cap engaged vsc then after checking for code check engine pop on.

go to autozone and borow their reader to work on a car at home the code reader manual should tell you how to reset it. My car had a check engine with a gas code when I bought it, not since.
