Used Car Prices...Going Up?
With a shortage of parts looming on the horizon, might used car prices start to creep up?
I read on line that new 460s were going to thin out this summer on dealer lots and choices will be fewer.
A friend was just at the wholesale auction in Seattle and he said he thought prices were at least very steady, if not maybe up a little, and he said more interest.
Thoughts?

With shortage of parts... I would suspect that cars being STOLEN for parts would rise, rather that prices for whole cars. That's what usually happens with cars, as they get older but are still around, they get on the "most stolen" list. Check the top ten each year, they are never new cars but used cars (usually Honda or Toyota) and about six years old.
Rule of thumb, used cars don't go up in price unless they're classic 20+ years vehicles of limited production.

Wow $35k is a good chunk of change, but if you're after the ultimate in affordable luxury with added reliability, the LS430 is hard to beat. All I can say is I'm glad I bought in before all this craziness happened.

Seems to me that prices on cherry condition low mile LS430s are holding very steady. I'd be hard pressed to give up mine for less than $30K.
