$34k would be pushing it with 36K miles. Might get $34K if it had only 15-20K miles. Also depends on if its a southern car with no exposure to salt or if its a rust belt car - that makes a difference in value on used car market.
You can likely get $30K retail or private party sale. Wholesale will be significantly less because someone has to pay holding and sales costs and needs to make a profit/living.

Run a kbb.com price estimate on the car for your zip code. Also check autotrader for what cars are being listed for in your area. That information should give you an idea of what you can list the car for. Remember that you can always drop your price in negotiation. However, if you price the car way high, buyers will often just skip your ad figuring they'll never get the car for a reasonable price.
If the car has any mods, return it to stock. Empty all the junk out of the car and get it fully detailed, including the engine compartment. (There's a late model, low mileage Civic for sale down the road for the appropriate KBB private party price. It would have been sold weeks ago if the folks would have cleaned the boxes and other junk out of the car and had the interior detailed. Someone should tell those folks that running the car through the car wash doesn't count.)

When selling a car, stock >>> modified. There's a much bigger market for an original car as opposed to a much smaller number of people who are looking for a modded car.
