Default Does the car learn the driver (throttle Response)

I bought my ls430 about 6 weeks ago, I noticed when I got it the throttle response was terrible. I reset the ecu and it improved some but was still pretty poor.

My first tank with the car I got 20 MPG city (NYC City) with marginal throttle response

Maybe 5 Tanks later my throttle response is much much better and my last tank was 16 MPG

I turned of the power setting and I will see how this tank stacks up

I read that the car learns and adapts changing the throttle response to suit the drive but I didnt beleive it. I guess I was wrong..

Its true, the LS does have an ECU (electronic control unit) who can learn and is adapting to the drivers right foot.

I've had my car on the 'power' setting for the throttle and A/T for the last few months. Response is noticeably sharper, and the fuel economy is actually slightly better than on the 'economy' setting, contrary to what I expected.
