Default Cold tire pressure 225/55/17

Finally warm enough in Wisco to dust some of the winter grime off the ol LS and polish er up and give er a spring inspection. I run my tires at cold 34-35 lbs even though the door says 32 lbs. Seems the sides are wearing even inside and outside but the center has less wear by like 1-1.5 tenths. Should I bump em up to 36-37 so sides kinda catch up? Otherwise I have almost 55k on the tires and they have like 5-6/10's left on em.

Also the Meguires nano wax I put on has lasted very well just gave her another coat.

My mileage has improved as the tires have worn, make sense as they become lighter?

Thanks in advance.

I think you'd find that at 36, you end up with a much harsher ride, and a little bouncy. Not what the 430 was bought for, I don't think. After 55K on your tires, they don't really owe you much - that's pretty good mileage. And still 5-6/10's left - that's great. What kind are they? I keep mine at the same pressure - 34-35 which seems to be a good compromise between fuel mileage and a comfortable ride. I don't think the fact that your tires are lighter would improve your gas mileage, perhaps the tires have less grip, and hence less rolling resistance might help.

The heck with nitrogen, he started filling the tires with hydrogen. Once he has a fuel cell powered LS, the spare becomes an emergency fuel reserve.

i dont want to tell you what pressure i put my tires at...
try running your tires at 36 to 38 and see if you can deal with the ride.
if not. lower the pressure back down.

thanks,
I have just H rated Primacies, but I swear the mileage has gone up since the miles go on. I am getting 24mpg plus/tankful lately mostly 80/20 hwy city.

I will bump em up to 36-36.5 or so. Mileage will go up more even then. I would hate to see how they wore at the 32 lbs as written on the door

If I may add I had Goodyear Assurance Comfortreds on when I bought it and they where like 8/32's and when I took em off at like 4-5 32s my mileage was about where it is now 23.6-24.2. When I got my primacies my mileage went down to like 22.5 for a 15-20k on the same route to work and back. Now as they have worn mileage is back up again, go figure.
