I have a cd player that ate my cds and won't give them back. i had the cd taken out of the car (along came the radio) and sent it in for repair. Lexus said they would sell me a new one for $800. So the bid to fix it was $450.00, plus tax. Holy crap. does anyone know who would either sell me a new cd player or fix the one i have at a cost i can afford? ![Egads!](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/pat.gif)

Sometimes if you use "burned Cd's" the problem will occur. Retail Cd's have a tiny lip on the edge that the cd player uses to push out the cd. My last car would play CD R's fine but would not reject them...just a thought.

Seems to me that a better solution would be to install a VaisTech unit and use an iPod tucked away in the glove box. That would be cheaper than a new CD, and you'll never need or use the CD again anyway. With 100 music albums in my iPod I never use the CD.
