I have the Pioneer Inno in my '01 LS 430. I have it installed in this car the same way in my two previous cars and it's the best reception and sound for the system.
I have it mounted on my dash with 3m double sided strips on the holder just above the volume **** on the stereo. I wedged the antenna line between gaps in the dash, tucked under the steering column, up to to door liner, under the liner where the windshield meets the frame, and mounted to the roof about an inch away from the windshield and as far left as you can go on the rooftop (driver's side). I'm using the cassette adapter as it is the best sound you can get without having to pay to have it hard wired.
I used to work in downtown San Francisco so I know it works without any interference around tall buildings.
