If the banks are doing an electronic transfer, there won't be any check to clear. You should bne able to go to his bank today or Friday, get confirmation of the transfer, and transfer the title.

Bank sent a check. I bought the car, just can't pick it up until Wednesday. Sad, the anticipation is killing me!

Too late now, but it would have been so much fast if the money was wired. As long as you are getting the car a little while longer is no big deal. Did you get a bill of sale or purchase agreement?
