will one of the wrenches in the tool kit take the big cover off the motor? I wanted to take it off but did not have the right tool in my limited household toolbox.

You're going to need sockets for that. The nuts and bolts are recessed into the plastic enough that a wrench won't access it correctly. Either a single 10mm nut driver or a metric socket set 1/4 inch drive is enough.

I'm missing the screwdriver in my kit... bummer.

The Lexus tool kit is decent but the flashlight that comes with it is a POS. Keep it as a novelty souvenir and use that cut out space for a small multitool. Buy a couple of high quality flashlights and keep both in the glove box at all times. Also suggest you get a 16 inch breaker bar and 21 mm socket from Harbor Freight and keep in trunk emergency bag to loosen lug nuts in case of a flat on the road. Attempting to loosen lug nuts with the Lexus tiny lug wrench supplied could easily cause a hernia.

High quality flashlights can save your life -

Make sure you socket set has an extension bit as the nuts/bolts are recessed a bit and a standard ratchet with socket may not still reach.
