I ordered OEM Toyota pads from Iron Toad. Work great.

I had vast experience with brake pads on ls430.
There are basiaclly two ways:
1. original toyota ones. they last forever (my last set lasted 30k!). and provide moderately nice braking. BUT (big but), the material of the pads are specially formulated to be used only with original brake rotors (turned to perfection) and without harsh braking ! Otherwise it will start to pulsate around 5-10k after putting them in.
2. non original metallic, carbon-metallic or ceramic pads. they MAY provide better results (more solid braking feel and less fade), and also with non-stock rotors (drilled e.g.), BUT they will generate a lot of dust and they won't last a fraction of originals. (no more than 10k in my expirience)
So, your choice.. I tryed both and my next change will be original toyota pads.
My mech explained to me, that original pads create special coating on the rotors and use it to make effective braking. But it's quiet tricky to get it to coat evenly, especially if rotors not new+oem. So every unevenness of this coating will make brakes pulsate.
Non-oem ones on the other hard just work as usual - 'grinding' metal/pad material.

I use Wagner quiettherms They're quiet, have decent bite, easy to install ( no clips or antisqueek needed) and cheap. I have only 5k moles on my 430 so far with the wagmers but I hac 30k on my avalon so far with lots of pad left.
