Must read.. 90k service
I have a 2003 ls 430 with 81500 miles on it. I vacation in north central Penna most summers. Last year I had the regular oil change service at a toyota dealership in Bradford, Pa Jim Shults toyota. They charged me 24.95 including washing the car, so this year I decided to ask them to do the 90K service since i will be past that point next year at this time. Okay here is what they did today
Timing belt
water pump
oil change
complete flush of cooling system (it was really crudded up)
new thermostat
new radiator cap
new anti freeze
all new brake linings on all wheels (rotors did not have to be cut)
hand wash exterior
With my senior citizen discount which I asked for the TOTAL BILL WAS
890.87
isn't that amazing. I would suggest if you live anywhere near north central Pa you spend a day and bring your car there for a major service.
Jim Shults Toyota
880 E Main St
Bradford, PA 814 368 3191
ask for Dathan and tell him Geoff sent you. Great people to deal with.
My regular dealer in Florida would have charged me close to 2000 for the same services.
By the way the timing belt that came out was in excellent shape.

Wow - that sounds like an excellent price for all that work. Very savvy of you for having the work done up there. I am sure folks that live in the area will appreciate the tip.

That's a great price! How much did they give you for a senior discount?
My '05 is coming up to 90K in a little while so I am starting to shop it around but as you found out, these belts will more than likely go another 20 to 30k without any trouble but then who wants to gamble with these great cars. Here on the westside of Los Angeles my local yota dealer wants 49.95 just to do an oil/filter change so I'm not optimistic about getting a great deal like you got on my 90.

The senior discount was about 10%. Since the car is still under CPO til mid sept. I decided to do it plus the fact I plan to keep the car for at last 5 more years.

well that will be so far my best #2 option if my off duty lex mechanic can't get it done. he did my friends (leroy) for like 650 i believe. don't think he touched the brakes though, and i just had my coolant flushed,, no wash either
that is a very good deal and especially with the stamp of having a dealership perform the work.

I'm out in Vegas and I'm looking to get the 90K service done on my 04 within the next 45 days. I was expecting to spend around $1600. So if I walk away spending anywhere under a thousand bucks, I'd be thrilled to say the least!
I'll make certain to comment on my experience and how much I paid after I get the 90K service done. I'll probably have it done during the second week of September.
