Default Question about part numbers- are they really the same item?

Floor mats for my 05 LS430.....question......

For 01-03 the part number is PT2085001002

For 04-06 the part number is PT5485003002

The price for the 01-03 mats is cheaper than the 04-06. If they are in fact the same mat, for the same car, why the difference in price? Obviously the body is the same from 01-06. Can anyone verify? I would like to buy the less expensive ones obviously, if they are the same mat. Anybody know why this might be?

Sometimes their are minor differences. The mat is the same dimension but the thread color on the sewn-in Lexus logo is different. Also, some of the mats have an extra thick cushion for your heel located by the gas pedal. I would call the parts department and ask. You might find the older mat is nicer and less money just because it is older stock.
