My recently purchased 430 had discolored, "milky" looking chrome in several places - primarily around windshield, rear window and rear bumper. Several aggressive applications of cleaner wax had this trim looking much better, almost new. But after only a month of minimal outdoor exposure it's beginning to look dull again.
My 99 LS 400 has similar trim that still looks as good as new. Just another item that makes me think the last 400's represented the best of the LS series in terms of quality of components and reliability.

instead of starting a new thread ill just add to this one. is there any safe method to seperating the taillight lens from the housing? im using a headlight restore kit to remove the tint on my tailights. the amber strip for the turn signal is a little recessed into the rest if the lens and cant get the drill into the corner. plus im wanting to remove the amber portion and clear it out. i found that the chrome on the seals is actually sanded/peeled off so polishing this wont be possible unfortunately. same is happening to my front bumper chrome as well. this i will probably just remove and replace as well as the back bumper.
