Tire/Rim question, 2004 LS430
Well my chrome rims are pitting pretty badly; the Ohio winters are hard on my daily driver.
My OEM wheel size is 17 x 7.5, and my current (OEM) tire size is 225/55-17 according to TireRack.
I have found a brand new set of 18" (18 x 7.5) rims that were for a 2010 LS 600h.
Tire Rack says the OEM tires for those wheels are 235/55/18.
Had my car had 18" factory wheels, the OEM tire size would have been 245/45/18.
If I get those 18" LS600h wheels, I'll need tires. What size should I get to keep my speedometer correct?
Thanks! If it's as simple as just getting 245/45/18's, just tell me (and be nice, today's my 38th birthday and I'm sleepy!)

Happy Birthday! Those 2010 wheels have a 5x120 bolt pattern and you 2004 has 5x114.3 hubs. You could use adaptors, but will most likely run into other fitment problems such as tires rubbing the fenders.

You just saved me a hassle, thanks! Any idea what year rims are an exact replacement (OEM speaking - don't want chrome anymore either)

What offset do I have? Trying to find it now unless you know..

The LS430 does not use pressure sensors in the wheels. It detects loss of tire pressure by measuring rotations via the ABS sensors. I greatly prefer this technique because with winter tires/wheels you don't have the expense of a second set of sensors and don't have to bother with the relearn process twice a year.

The LS430 can be tricky to select aftermarket or even other Lexus/ Toyota wheels for even if accounting for proper offset due needing clearance for the really large front brake calipers. Don't ask me how I know. Anyway, I am very pleased w/ the appearance of these hyperblack finished wheels which I like the look better than the silver finish of the oem ones. Also, being replicas the fitment is perfect (unless you want something akin to 'hellaflush' and therefore hella less functional) and you use the stock oem type lug nuts.

Do you know if the 2006/2007 GS300 wheels would fit?
Like these?

17x7.5, correct offset, but I worry about the calipers.

Follow the guys advice a the tire rack. I've had chrome wheels myself.... They were 18" rims and tires .I originally got them from Terrys tiretown in Hartville. After several years of both Ohio and Chicago winters, the rims look like crap. Had i known that the winter maintenance for chrome would have been that extensive, or had i known how to maintain chrome wheels in the winter, I might still have them. After much consideration, and I've looked everywhere, I settled for the Enkei Falcon rims. I went with the 20" and the staggered fitment. I cant wait to put them on the car. My 2002 LS430 is gold and I went with the hyper silver. I have custom painted calipers with the Lexus logo and drilled rotors. If you get to that point, avoid drilled and slotted, the slots eat up the pads quickly. Call the Tire Rack or go on their website. Although their products are limited, those guys know their tires.... offsets.....and rims. You can also google maintenance of chrome and other rims during the harsh weather. The Tire Rack guys gave me some excellent ideas.

I was also reading here that the older 16" LS400 wheels will fit the LS430
Some aftermarket will fit. I have 17" Fast wheels with winter tires on my LS

I really think this is an interesting topic because 18 inch will be the best balance between looks and ride quality.
I am searching for an bad *** Work Euroline or SSR Vienna with a deep dish in 18 for my LS.
Does anyone has any pictures of 18 inch deep dish on a LS430?
