Are you replacing them on a UL that already has them or installing them on a non-UL that never had them? (In the US, this feature was included only on ULs in 04-06 and not available on other trim levels.) Have you spoken with Darrel at Sewell?

well I had a small issue the week i purchased my UL where the tint shop had gotten the rear curtain somehow tangled up and it would not retract properly. I called my local lex dealership and they were more than happy to explain that they could replace this item for me with a new one at fairly expensive price.

with this being said I would call a lex dealership and ask for the part number or research to find the part number, then order them from sewell or carson (toyota/lex), and then take them to a toyota/lex dealership or competent installer shop to have installed. only thing i can think of that would not be included would be the little hooking tabs that hold onto the curtains when the are extended.

how difficult are these to put in a car if the car never had them to begin with? It might be more trouble than they are worth. Does't look like an easy plug and play. I might be wrong. would love to be wrong actually. :-)

You would have to replace the whole door panel.

you dont have to replace the whole door panel only the top of the panel can be removed by unscrewing the bolts and then you can install the one from UL panel to your current door panels.

You guys do realize you also need to change the trim at the top of the door that has the hooks for the shade to hook too right? Also the one for the smaller shade to hook too.
