Default new to the LS430 community

hey all, didnt see a new members section in the main screen (sorry if it is there). but just wanted to drop in here & say what's up. we just got a new to us 05 LS430 for my wife. upgraded from an 04 ES330.
found the site on a search & just want to learn more about the car. we hope to get the same use out of this car as she did with her ES (sold it with 173k & really never had a problem with it). but she likes the car which is the important thing.

im not new to the car scene, just new to the LS models.

There is definitely a wealth of knowledge on here, just type in your questions in search and it'll pop up most likely... Welcome by the way, enjoy your LS...

Welcome. I don't know what you're driving, but I would find a way to talk the LS out of your wife's hands and let her drive something else.

Congrats and welcome! I think an LS430 as a DD and the M3 as a weekend would be a sweetazz combo....just sayin'. Post up some pics when you get the chance

lol, but then i'd have to find her another car for her to drive. i dont have many pictures of her car except the day we were at the used car dealer to pick it up.

im not sure if im just used to the seats in my M3, but the driver's seat doesnt feel like it has as much support as her ES330. maybe seat cushions are worn out?

Driver's seat comfort (or lack thereof) is a rather common complaint. Some have replaced the foam in the seat bottom. (I plan to have this done next year.) Others have added padding.

What wheels are those?

thanks all. well, it's good to know that they are OEM. they are only 17" wheels. i wanted to try to find a set of the stock 18's, but the cash is going to limit that, lol.

The seats don't start out with a lot of padding. And these cars are pretty big inside so big folks tend to buy and drive these cars. If you got it used, the driver seat padding may be a little "tired" from the previous owner.
