Thanks for the kind words guys. Its my pleasure to serve.

A little update... wife has the controller in her possession as of today. Im getting extremely excited about this. Im thinking of sending the wheels in next week for the refinish. I guess whenever this shop decides to give me my SC300 back from the kit install and re-fiberglass, my wife will take the 430 in for a test fit of the wheels before they are sent. This will give an idea of what tires i need to run for the rears. Im still not 100% sure so if someone can chime in, im all ears. Thanks for the comments

car looks good & sounds like you have a master plan laid out. im just amazed that you can have the tint that dark in TX & it be legal. MD is only 35% all around for cars & you must factor in any tint that is in the glass from the manufacturer.

the front is 25% which im not too thrilled with. I have 5% all around on my SC300 and tahoe. Both are registered in different states but those laws are not enforced in TX =)

Well looks like im at a halt right now with the car, the tires have been purchased along with everything else being at home. Wheel technologies says they cannot redo my wheels due to the fact they are a 3 piece wheel. It doesnt make sense cause they have redone 3 piece plenty times. Im a lil stuck right now. if anyone knows of any companies that will do this for me, please let me know. Im looking to have them shipped asap. thanks guys

Default I need speaker sizes!!!!

OK so i got some window visors shipped to me and my wife picked this up the other day....

I need some help with the mids and highs. Im looking to get some infinity kappas for everything but im not sure what sizes i need. Ive looked for the sizes but i can get a straight answer still. Im sure there is 11 speakers in the UL trim so i got that down. The sub will be removed and all the speakers will be replaced. Im sure there is...

2x ??? tweeters up front
2x ??? on the dash
2x ??? In the doors
2x ??? tweeters in the rear doors
2x ??? in the rear doors

I think im right but im not 100 percent sure. Before i pull the trigger can someone give me the diameters and mounting depths of all these? Im hurting guys.

Im also looking to mount a single din deck under my NAV where the 6 disc is and run all the audio from there. Im trying to steer away from the Nav for the audio controls but i know it has to stay> im not into modding the center console more than i should. I like sleek stock looks. Ima try to integrate the sound from the nav to travel through my single din headunit to keep that feature. Im sure i will lose the audio controls on the steering wheel but o well. You gotta pay to play =). Please someone help me out here

This is the setup im gonna be running in my LS430 UL. Possibly adding another sub, amp and capacitor.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/71017103@N03/6694352581/http://www.flickr.com/photos/71017103@N03/6694352581/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/71017103@N03/, on Flickr

So im thinking about running the 1000-1BD X2, 13.5 W7 X2 and 3 farad cap X2. Is anyone running anything of this sort in their LS? I just wanna be able to pull the system out and access my spare tire. Im guessing if anything it will be 2 seperate ported boxes with the rear deck cut out and the ports running up to the opening. Also is anyone running a high output alternator? I saw a 230 amp alternator on Ebay and im looking for any info you guys can provide.

I havent installed any parts yet for the fact my wife says she wants to do it all in one shot. Thanks for the help guys. I will keep this thread updated.

Cool bro, good luck. I am Army too and recently purchased an 04 UL, kinda funny. I am getting stationed at Drum though, opposite way you're going, I'm currently at Benning. I have a 20x9.5/10.5 combo on my car (well not yet, gotta shave rear fenders). Waijai sent some rims he had off, you should PM him and ask him about that. Why would you replace the factory headunit, just curious. There's kits out there to run your factory with different amps and such I'm sure. Anyways, I'll be following your progress...happy modding.

Im actually not replacing the headunit. Im going to pull the 6cd changer out and put the aftermarket single din in there. The stock unit doesnt have the MP3 capabilities, usb or anything like that. I was debating on running the JL cleansweep but i kinda leaned away from it for the fact i want all the capabilities of the aftermarket stereo. Ive spoken with the guy who works on my SC and he says hes is going to do what he can to get the sound from the Nav to go through my aftermarket deck and out through the speakers. I really dont care for the directions but im sure it will be nice there and there.

Ive spoken to Waijai about wheels already and got the info i needed. Ive also researched on these exact wheels on someone elses vehicle on this site and i see the only problems he had was tire rubbing with a 275 and the wheel hitting the fender lip. Im running 255/35 so the tire rubbing should be much less but the camber arms are to get the wheels inside the fender without pulling the fenders out and getting the wheel as close as possible. Ill possibly be running a 5-10mm spacer in the rear to get the desired look im looking for. Ill have to play it by ear once i encounter the problems if I do.

i'm at Meade and we just had a guy PCS to Drum last month from my office

yeah sorry to be a little late to the thread but i was gonna say you could easily run a 275x30x20 on the rear that won't be a stretch at all and have a little meat on the tire and would only need to get the rear fenders maybe shaved if that even. basically you prolly won't even need the camber arms. i am running the 5mm shorter than stock rear camber arms to reduce negative camber with a 275x30x20 rear tire on a 20x11" with like a +30 ish offset no problem.. in fact with my shaved rear fenders it sits very very flush

congrats on the car lets see some pics when you get it put together.

Well with the camber arms im trying to get the ar as low as possible and close as possible. This will not be a daily driver so sitting low with some rub is fine. Im thinking as low as i want to go a 275/30 will rub. I had to go with a 35 series to keep a lil bit of cushion. My wife loves the way the car rides now so i have to keep it better than my SC300 which has 30 series in the rear and i hate it. I think a 255 will give me a much better streched look and minimize the rubbing.

I'm very interested in seeing the work in progress. Thanks for sharing all the pics with us. I'm currently looking at getting the Megan Arms, what's the negative feedback you've heard?

The capacitors are not gonna be used. instead there will be 2 yellow top's added and a high output alternator should be installed soon. Im very excited

So now the car has been in the shop for 3 weeks and the guy really hasnt gotten anywhere on it. the single din is installed and thats really it. He claims he cut all the pieces for the subs and when they were sent in to be rhino lined, somoene ran them over with a forklift and crushed all of them and tried to cover it up by putting them back together and he caught them in the act. Im not sure if its true but o well, i just need my car done sometime this century. He says it will be done by the middle of next week. Im on my way back to afghanistan on friday so i sure do hope he is getting on it. I havent even driven my car yet.

Ive also replaced the DRL's and city lights with some white ones to match but the color is kinda off. I still have to get some pics of it. I purchased some more wheels so the DTX have been disassembled and are being cleaned, repolished and having the faces stripped of the black and recoated clear with polished windows. I will have a thread on that in the near future.

Ok so i tried these on and the fenders will need to be rolled and some much needed camber added. They dont poke too bad but thats what im looking for. Gonna mix a lil american wheels up with some VIP. The datasystems needs to go in and im pretty sure ill be sourcing a SS Pro kit to get her lower once its installed. Hopefully it turns out good. A lil teaser =)

Front is 20x9 +20
Rear 20x11 +15

These were the wheels for sale in the classifieds not too long ago. Also got new centercaps coming here in the next couple days. The ones on the wheels are super worn and faded
