Default paddle shifter for your 430 from a MB

check this out. I know it is pointless, but this is kind of a cool looking trick I think.

well at least it doesn't look like a sore thumb but in an ls430... absolutely pointless.

never really understood paddle shifters mounted on steering wheel. So you'll never shift around a sharp corner? If the shifter is rotating with the wheel, and you need to shift while the wheel is turning let's say.. "where is the shifter???"

I'd rather drive a straight manual, but if a manu-matic, then I prefer being on conventional shifter stalk.

The better designed paddle shifters don't rotate with the steering wheel. Also the shift can usually also be performed via the console stick even in paddle shift equipped cars. They are pretty fun I have had occasion to use them in some rental cars when I get lucky and ****** a sporty car from the Exec aisle instead of a usual Ford Grand Tumorous style sedan : )

Wow, that's cool. Who ever starts a Lexus tuner business in North America will want to have a lot of inventory of this product. I have never used the manual shift feature in my LS430 yet, but I am sure LOTS of other guys are going to snap up this modification, if someone offered it for sale !

Do you know if it makes the car shift quicker? I find the manual override to be sluggish and jerky and never use it.

I would suspect not. I'm sure it just wires into your current electronic shift connectors.

Gotcha, that's what I figured. If it was just for show, then I would try to score some paddle shifters from an LFA and keep it in the family...
