Default Creak in Dash Area

There is an annoying creak over rough pavement coming from the passenger side of the dash area. I though it may have been the glove box lid but the noise is still there when I leave it open. I pushed hard on the wood trim and that seemed to silence it but then I let go of the wood trim and just applied pressure above it on the soft trim with the same result.

Has anyone else had this and identified the source?

I know you've probably already tried this, but COMPLETELY empty both gloveboxes and see if you still get the creak.

I have same issue but I have no one to drive me around so I can sit in passenger seat and try to to diagnose it... ha. I did the TSB on the windshied rattle... the one that has you cutting off the plastic locating dowels used in the factory installation... so that is not my issue at least.

If I can only get a chauffer...

Let me know if one of you finds it!

Default Creaking noise silenced

I found the source of the noise It was the interior of the glove box. Specifically, inside the glove box is a molded section which forms a shelf to store the owners manual etc. I had removed it to access the interior air filter a few months ago. I suspected this might be the cause and so I removed the shelf and refitted it. I also checked the cover for the interior filter and checked it was secure.

Since doing that the noise has gone.
