Default 03 LS430UL Headlight Hieght Adjustment issue

Just removed and reinstalled the RS headlight hieght motor. (I thought it was a plug for the headlight bulb ...) Now RS headlight aim is way too high.

Any ideas on how to get this corrected?

I am a newbie here, so I may be incorrect, but I wonder if you might do like others have suggested for other electrical issues: detach the neg. battery post for half an hour to reset everything and reattach. This advice is strictly based on the hundreds of posts I've read regarding other issues. I hope it helps.

Thank you Jimbosr. Looks like this might do the trick. Did you try it on your car?

Was your issue the same as mine to begin with? I errantly removed the electric motor that moves the mechaism up and down..... sounds like the other posters had simple out of adjustment issues

Hmmm. My car looks different. I only have one grommet covered hole, but it does reveal the gear down in there that can be turned. I turned it but see no difference.

My issue is that I removed the servo motor that drives the up and down motion of the headlight that happens when you first start the car. I reinstalled it, and that's when the trouble began. Evidently, the part of the light that moves up and down did not re-attach properly, and now the RS headlight points way too high.

you might want to remove the servo motor and see if everything is installed right.

I'm sorry I wasn't helpful. However, it appears you are now receiving more useful advice then mine. Good luck.
