My nephew owns a Chrysler 300 and he has had frequent, expensive problems. The latest is the engine just plain stopping for no apparent reason. He's taken the thing to the dealership, at considerable expense, and they are unable to correct the problem.
He now hates the car and wants to sell it, but he can not until that problem is fixed. In short, he's in a nasty bind.
Here's another person who doesn't think much of Chrysler products:

I have test driven a 300 and it drove like a heap. I felt every piece of gravel. The interior felt like cheap, almost transparent plastic. Nothing about the car was nice. Even the squished windows were problematic as they cause serious blind spot issues.
Just recently I began having quite a few drivers try to blow by me or leave me behind from a light. They have no clue how powerful my LS is. Anyway, I have to wonder how much of this ignorance of the cars prowess it the misinformation of other car commercials trying to say Lexus is boring and sleepy. A BMW, Buick, Honda, Infiniti, Hyundai and Kia all were left in my dust and I didn't even drop the mileage to do it. If I clicked the power shift button they wouldn't even be a memory. Then again, my gas would be a memory.

I gotta say the LS all the way. It rides quieter, smoother, looks more luxurious, more reliable, and it's just better in all aspects. The 300 looks great and there's a tremendous amount of product out there to customize it for cheap but it's still a 300. I just recently went out and purchased an LS430 and i couldn't be happier.

To answer your question, LS and not because I have one. I JUST had a conversation today with a friend about the "UNreliability" of Chrysler cars. I had a 2008 charger (more garage time than rode time) My cousin had a 2005 300c (suspension issues, electrical). Alot of people that I know that drive Hemi's are more into the powerful engine. They feel they can beat everyone(speedwise). "We"on the other hand like to "cruise". I like the look of the new body style but I have never driven one. The previous models interior has more plastic than a bottled water factory!! I could go on and on about how i would take my 04' LS over the 300 but why do that? When I drive my car, I pull up to the stop light in FULL confidence. And by the way it's REALLY apples and oranges. Pull up to the stop light with confidence my friend...FULL confidence.

The older 300's had really cheap interiors. It doesn't take much to make them look good though. It's nowhere near the level of the LS430 though. They aren't even on the level of the LS400 in my opinion.
The new Chrysler 300's look very good though. I haven't seen the interior on them, but the exterior looks awesome.

i just don't think most people have driven many different types of cars.
i just don't see not giving different brands a try. believe me, i've test driven a few mercs, bmw's, lots of infiniti's (used to own one as well), even mitsubishi's & toyotas, and others, before making my choice. i just don't think the general public gives other brands the time of day. brand loyality is a hard thing to break,,, good thing i'm not very loyal

This almost reminds me of the sales person that tried to sell me a Hyundai when i asked for a LS430 haha... it must be a joke question.
There should be no doubt in your mind that a LS430 outdoes the 300 in every aspect. Might not be as fast but definately makes up for it in comfort and luxury. The LS is made to be classy and luxurious. i dont know what Chrysler thought when they threw that piece of metal and plastic together. Plus everyone and their moms has one

i bought a new 300c back in 06 and sold it 7 months later. The car was ok, but you just see too many around especially with the cheaper models out there. I bought my ls430 2.5 years ago and its been a great car. A little boring and outdated at times but the ride and mileage are exceptional and you don't see one every time you are on the road like the 300s.
