Default Selling Car......... Need advice

After 6 years of amazing preformance and luxury i have decided it is time to sell my 2006 LS-430 UL It is black with saddle interior there is a small 3 inch tear in the rear passenger seat from a client who carries a knife on him. A few small dings and nicks on the exterior of the body as expected with a car that has 137,000 miles on it. It has been in 2 accidents none major. One required $5580 worth of work and the other $3500. The radar cruise does not work i have been trying to get it fixed for some time now. I will sell it with 2 Sets of wheels 18 x 7.5 inch bacarats for the summer and 16's for the winter. Mechanically the car is as good if not better then brand new. Ray Catena Service Center in NJ is quoted saying, "You have the cleanest car and engine we have ever seen." This car will last 300,000 miles easy but i need a bigger car with awd and i have been putting this off for some time now. The dealership offered me $7,000 dollars as a trade in and if i privately sell it kelly blue book says i should get around $10,000 I was just wondering if anyone knew any other websites i should consider if these are fair prices. Any insight or information would help. Thank you very much.

Default Check Ebay

It's a good place to check comparables. Good luck.

Check the listings on autotrader, cars.com, and craigslist. Also check the valuation section of edmunds.com which tends to run lower than KBB. Ask your dealer (or other dealers) for the number of their leather repair service to get the rear seat fixed. Repairs are usually pretty reasonable and will make a big difference in perception of the car. Good luck with the sale.

$7,000-10,000 seems incredibly low for a 2006.

I'm in Canada, and while we pay more for cars here, that seems low even for a high miles LS thats clean. The two accidents will lower the price but $7000 is absurd. Look around and I'm sure you can get more .... a lot more, easily.

i bet if you have it detailed and fix your leather and have a dent removal guy come out you should sell for 13-15k dollars.

That's pretty low for a 2006 LS, even if it's been in a few accidents. It's hard to say how much it's worth since most 06's have low miles and still go for at least $25,000 or more. Do you have any pics of the car?

I'd suggest getting the seat fixed, before listing it for sale.

With all the information I have been given between this forum and private messages as well as research i believe that $15,000 is a fair asking price. Email me at TVitale1@gmail.com if you are interested..... Thank you for all your advice.

Now that this has thread has turned into a for-sale thread, I'm going to lock it up. Feel free to consult the classified rules and list the car there per the rules. Thanks.

BTW, love the black & saddle look. Good luck with the sale.
