Default Miserable after the sale of my "Perfect" 2001 LS430

Been beating around in my perfecting running 4cyl 1994 Camry with 195K mile on it.
I planned on taking the money from the sale and getting something newer with a small car note. But seeing the way the ecomomy is now and friends and family affected by it, I decided to take $5k and pay off nearly all my credit card debt for the new year. I have about $8K left and the car that has reinvigorated me on a modest budget is a 1998-2000 Lexus GS400. I've always loved how it looks even today and want to get one black on black like the one pictured. The challenge is finding one and finding one with at low 100K miles. I'd only drive it less than 5000 miles a year so it will be my Toy car. I know it won't be close to a luxurious as the LS430 but it should satisfy my luxury car itch and be an adequate replacement

The GS400 is a great car and an acceptable replacement for your old LS. You're lucky to have found a black on black GS. I rarely see those for sale around here.

I had that body style GS300 and GS430. They were very reliable, fun sports sedans and pretty easy to work on.

good luck finding one with very low mileage. i found mine with 137k miles. got it for about $7200 & it had some issues that needed to get taken care of, but it's pretty clean. i also had to travel about 2 hours one way to get it. but this was one of the better deals that i could find in the price range i wanted to stay in.

there were GS300 around me selling for around $9-$7k, but mileage was way up there.
