wow that white ls has some really expensive brembo breaks. I used to put them on my race cars, they are much better than willwoods. I never thought about putting them on my LS.

So how intense are those suspensions? do they bounce the front ends? I see a lot of the lowrides doing that around here.

oh sorry,, didn't know what to call it. how are they different? I mean like when I roll up to a stop light and see one how do I tell? So do you just call it vip?

Is vip just a company that makes parts for these cars to pretty them up?

I did try to take a look at vips website, but i couldn't find any parts for sale

VIP is not a brand, it is the name of a style.

I almost vomitted in my mouth a little in the beginning of the second vid. Where is that korea? I see they don't care about riding around in cheap *** vip-esq builds.

That shiz was wack, and how old were those vids. Look for something out of japan next time to see how its done proper.

Vip cars don't bounce up and down. Those cars you see doing that are on hydraulics. Most vip cars either are on static coilovers or some form of air suspension.
"VIP" is just a style of car building. Originating in Japan. If you google image search "vip car magazine" you should be able to tell the difference between those cars and the lowriders you see bouncing at stop lights. Hope that helps

When I think of low riders, the first thing that pops up are the old school Impalas with hydraulics and gold Daytons like in the old Dr. Dre videos.

VIP is generally large luxury sedans like the LS430, Mercedes S500, BMW 750i Toyota Aristo, and the Infiniti Q45. The style consists of have low offset wheels and the car being super low to the ground. There is other stuff too, but that stands out the most.

Soja, So Japan has the best ones? I don't see the difference, but I don't mean offense. I see all cars are low as possible, Lots of negative camber and big spoilers or flaired fenders. How does Korean style of VIP differ from Japan?

Kira X - thanks, So am i reading you correctly that you like wide tires mounted on wheels that would be the opposite of deep dish?

Does VIP mean "very important person" or something else?

Selah - Thank you, good info. So like if you guys get on a rough road do you have a way to ride high? If you don't, is that something VIP style people would want? I was told that they do not like skid pans for some reason,

So who makes the highest end stuff? just throw out a few names you think are really high end stuff.

What is a Majestar? That that looks like it would be a nice car. is that better than a 430? I want one of those. Can you even get them in America?

Take a look at this, it explains it really well

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIP_style

I had no idea that this started with the yakuza. I see the difference now. That is cool. Did you guys know that NASCAR (which I personally don't like) started by guys bootlegging moonshine here in the united states.

So like do any american's get into this? What would you call the white kid that lives next door to me that all his friends drive these civics that are slammed to the point of ill handling with huge mufflers? would that be more like the osaka style?

This is the definition of VIP done right IMO

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...ra-design.html

^Probably my favorite 430 on here, just looks so boss.

I do like clean, bone stock cars (I know I always look for stock when I pick up a used car), but I also appreciate a tastefully modded car.

Haha I was born here, but came from a Chinese family, does that at least alleviate some of the shame?. I'm not too big into Nascar myself either, so I don't know much about the motorsport. Don't get me wrong, I admire the risks and skills required but it's just not for me (I like rallying, drifting, F1, that sort of racing more).
