Default 21's BABY!! I need tire size help!!

Hay whats up everyone!!
Yes! I'm thinking of jumping on the 21's!!!!

I have a question for those who are rocking 21's on the UCF3x platform.
I'm thinking or maybe planning to pick up some 21's for the ride and had a question before I jump in. I know 21" tires are hard to come by just like 19" tires an i know they are not cheap, but i wanna know whats a good tire size to go with, with a nice stretch so i won't have to much fender/tire contact while driving.

Thanks in advance!!

we need more info to go on then just the 21". need to know the width and the offset sizes you want to run or have in mind. the taller the wheel the less aggressive you can go and vice versa.

Oh yeah forgot to add that in, sorry about that but ill be running these spec's:

21x9 offset +30 fronts
21x10.5 offset +29 rear

The offsets don't look that aggressive i'm thinking they'll be flush with the stock fenders but i could be wrong. won't find out til i have them in hand.

Thanks

well i was pretty much riding very low on 20x9.0", 30offset and it rubbed like a biatch when trying to turn on some 225x35x20 tires and rolled/shaved fenders.

i'm guessing you will have to at least run a 225x35x21 at a minimum with rolled/shaved front fenders and if you really lower the car it will most likely rub some. the rear should be good if its rolled/shaved on that offset and you could run up to a 265x30x21 but may have to put a 245x35x21.

ok cool i'll look into those sizes for the front.
I'm planning to slam the car as much as possible, but from the looks of it i mite have to do a slight pull in the fronts.

As of right now my fenders haven't been modified not even rolled which i should be doing soon.

Replied to your PM.

The thing with 21's is the extremely limited number of tire sizes available. Also if you're stock body, the car will look like a 4x4 even if you're lowered.

Thanks waijai,

Those are some big tires!! Ic what you mean by 4x4 status and that's a 245-35 series tire?? I'm on coils right now and planning to sit low as much as possible with some fender work in a month or so prolly going to wait til i get the wheels first before i jump in on the body work.

I'm prolly thnking a 235-30 series tire for the fronts will work a little better if i can find that size.
as for the rears i'm thinking a 255-30 series mite work. any other suggestion would help out also

thanks again guys,

Damn waijai u can really see that caster in the pic above. Now I see why the pro kit is such an added benefit. I had the ss regular kit and the controller a couple years back but was on 19's at the time and don't recall having the wheel caster so noticible. I still think 20" is the best for the LS430.

255/30/21 for fronts and rear. That would be the smallest size possible if you want to run lower. You can achieve a mild stretch in the rear with a Hankook Ventus 245/35/21.

This is a Falken 452s 255/35/21 on 21x11s. Falkens run a little more narrow which allows more of an arch when stretched.

This is a Continental CS3 255/30/21 on 21x10s.

Here are your options:
245/35/21
255/35/21
255/30/21

If you find smaller sizes, let me know.

Cool thanks!! ok here's the problem I always get confuse on tire sizes lets me use this as an example a 255 series will run small on tire height or is it width?? also the lower the number the smaller the tire gets correct?? If im wrong please correct me cause i feel like im looking at the wrong sizes or i mite be looking at the right sizes.

I mite have to run a 245 in the fronts and 255 in the rears but i wanna look for a smaller size tire and im thinking a 30 series if i can find any.

255 = tire Width
30 = Tire Profile

The Lower the bolded number yes, the smaller the tire in terms of width for the following: 255/30/21

The Lower of the bolded number, will mean the smaller "think rubber band" profile the tire will be on the rim: 255/30/21

the last number is the Rim size in inches, such as 21 inch rims etc.

I hope the way i described it helps you... actual tire size will be dependant on the rim size, obviously an 18 inch tire will be smaller than a 21 inch tire.

Nice thanks jeremy i think i get the idea on how it works so the 245 is less wider than a 255
and a 35 is taller than a 30 series tire.

I gotta do some searching
