Default Creaking/ticking when backing up

Recently when we back up and turn our steering wheel we are getting creaking/ticking sounds sometimes its worse than others.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Could be a universal joint on the drive shaft. It will usually make a "creaking/pinging" sound going from drive to reverse and vice versa when you tap the accelerator.

Years ago I remember replacing them a lot for some reason. That was in the muscle car days. I haven't replaced a U-Joint in years............
