What would you guys pay for an 04 UL LS430 with 95k miles? (Mercury Metallic with Black Int) Car seems to have service done regularly from Lexus dealer although carfax shows an accident, According to the dealer only Rear bumper was replaced.

Let me know your thoughts?

I will give you my opinion.....solely based on what I just paid for my car 04 with navi/ML/chrome wheels/sport suspension. My car had 32k miles on it. It also had timing belt, water pump, etc replaced last year at lexus dealership. Also got them to put on new tires all around(note to others........avoid goodyear eagle gt's). My car had a few issues, the usual Ls430 problems like the broken sub in rear etc. I paid $20,200. Which I thought was a fair offer. The only car i could find with even that close miles, was from a dealership in scottsdale, which they wanted $23.5 plus processing etc.

I would probably offer them $17k see how they respond. Myself I wouldn't feel comfortable paying more than 19k. Is that fair market value, not so sure. But I would keep in mind, the maintenance I would have to do, esp if those air suspension stops working.

Check autotrader for prices on all 04 LS430s across country. That will give you a feel for asking price range for an 04 model - selling price will be approx 10% less.

Given that the LS in question has 100k miles and does not have a clean carfax, I'd only be willing to pay about 1500 over wholesale trade value.

Get on the Lexus owner's web site and enter VIN and check the full Lexus maintenance history on the car before buying.

If the selling dealer is not a Lexus dealer, do not believe a word they say about body work or car condition - absolutely have it inspected by Lexus before you buy not after.

If you buying from a Lexus dealer they can usually be believed in what they say about a used Lexus. Any other dealer get an inspection before you buy.

Good luck and be careful you don't buy a pig in a poke.

I just bought an 04 UL with 76000 miles crom my local lexus dealer. Clean Carfax with records of most services done by lexus. Local one owner trade in at original selling dealer. Pearl white with ecru interior. Not a scratch on it. Rear sub is blown but they all are. The dealer serviced before I bought it. It has not had the timing belt replaced. I paid $19600 plus tax. I thought that was reasonable from a lexus dealership but I may be wrong.

I paid $19500 in 2010 for a 2005 ultra with 76k miles at a non Lexus dealer. 25k miles of service was missing.

I would say no more than $19k and thats based on me buying a 2004 CL w/ 64k , Nav/ML for 19.9k two years ago.

UL will most likely run you a tad bit more than these guys who have CL or ML's are saying. If you do an autrotrader search when you find one they're still going for $22k and up for a UL (highest miles I saw was 89k though)....but on the other hand Sojah has a very nice one for sale....just saying.

I would think that once the mileage for the ULs goes to 100K+ the price comes down significantly (probably more than the other trim LS430s) due to suspension and other electronic repair costs.

thanks for the shout out i just put mines on autotrader this a.m. listed for $19,750. I replaced my air susp with aftermarket coilovers since the air will go out and it will cost like $1500 a strut to replace.

there were 2 UL's (04-06) around 18k+ with similar mileage but were like 300 miles away from the dc area. i think i have the cleanest UL being sold right now in the dc area for under 20k. i also think i'm the sexiest UL owner in the dc area though so you can use that to put it in perspective.
