I have a 2006 LS 430 and need a new rime due to a pothole. I've searched websites and found the 18 inch in silver alloy and "hypersilver" alloy. What does "hypersilver" mean? Which should I choose? I have what appear to be the 18 inch 5 spoke wheels with a brushed silver look to them. They appear to be the basic color to me. Lexus was no help to me when I asked them the question.
Also, what do you folks think of websites like Wheelsrims, Autopartsfair and/or others? Do you have a favorite?
Are the wheels sold at those places safe?
Thanks.

If you want to replace a factory wheel with the same, visit a large auto recycler. They will look up the Hollander number for the wheel and can do a national search of networked recyclers. I had the same for a new style 17" wheel on my CTS in 2004 and a local recycler found a replacement from Florida. You can also check ebay and Craigslist for single wheels in the same style.

Hypersilver is a darker, more metallic appearing finish than the standard silver finish. It is a powder coated finish (as opposed to painted) if I am not mistaken. Go to the website www.wheelcollision.com and search for Lexus LS wheels. You will see examples of hypersilver and silver wheels and you can see the difference for yourself.
Good luck!
