I am sure there is a reason for so many views and no answers to your question.
I don't have it either btw, but I have a guess. Anything is doable, with enough money and resources you can do it. I'd call any decent local audio shop, they should able to swing it. The return question is -
Why would you want to do it? With the screen resolution in the "last century era", what kind of DVDs are you gona watch?
I'd investigate if I can install a separate DVD unit with it's own screen and play it through the main head unit speakers. But that is my question & I am going to post it separately
Actually here is the answer to my question if you care:

Found out that they just have to install a seperate DVD player where the 6 disc changer is in the front console

You need an adapter like the Navtool interface in order to have video display on your screen. Its not as simple as changing the 6disc changer to a dvd player.

Also using the search function on this site is very helpful.

I am actually considering something like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/270963522047...84.m1438.l2649

to kill two/three birds.

I don't care much about playing DVDs, although in my line of work it could be handy. If I do play them, I suspect this thing will have much better resolution than stock nav screen. I have a stand along 7" nav already so it's becoming redundant, but oh-well.
The thing also has an aux input for my phone, so i don't have to buy a separate device to use my phone in the car. And it has a 7" nav screen, not sure how good is the nav system though. Maybe someone has installed it/tried it already???
plus it has a camera, but I am not having huge hopes of good quality there
