PCS Emblem.
Does anyone know if the clear plastic shroud covering the emblem can be polished like a headlight? Got my 05 UL today, and one of the only flaws is that piece of plastic is cloudy, and it is driving me crazy. Looking on mylexus parts that piece is like $1k..
Love the car other wise. After a GOOD detail, it will be up to my standards, other that that emblem.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

The radar cruise module sits behind that panel. Polishing it up won't cause any issues at all and is most likely recommended.
Check sewellparts.com for your parts....you'll like their CL member prices better than anywhere else you look.

I think I am going to wetsand it, and cover it with 3m paint protection film, as well as my headlights so they stay clear.

The owner's manual gives specific instructions on care of the grill cover. It specifies cleaning with a soft cloth and being careful not to damage the sensor and grille cover. Also not to affix a sticker (including a transparent sticker) or attach an accessory around the millimeter radar sensor or the grille cover. Also, do not modify or paint the grille cover and when replacing the cover, be sure to use a genuine cover. It also warns about strong impacts around the sensor and that a special device is required by the dealer to adjust the sensor alignment.
In light of this, I would be very careful in doing anything other than what the manual specifies. This is a safety issue that just isn't worth the risk to me.

I'm not a big fan of adding anything to the surface since the radar signal passes through it. Anything that might attenuate or distort that signal wouldn't be a good thing.
For me....I'd stop with a polishing compound and a buffing pad.
