Just got my UL, some questions...
Hi everyone. I just picked up an UL LS430 and I love it. Its been well maintained, not perfect and I am starting to do some small work on it. I had a couple of questions as I get started.
1. When I turn the wheel and hit a bump, I am hearing a clunking sound in the front passenger side wheel. Could this be a suspension problem?
2. Where do you all get touch up paint? Wanting to touch up a few little nicks!
3. AC Seats: they aren't great, gonna change the filters and see if that helps. The motors are kind of loud, is that normal? Surprised how loud they are.
Are there things I could change in my driveway to improve drivability? Just wanting to get this car back to perfect!

The bump could be anything in the suspension, check ball joints especially. The dealer will have touch-up paint, there is one in TX that does online ordering that is big though the name is escaping me, a search around here should help.
The seats don't cool much at the best of times and I wouldn't expect a big difference with new filters. There is a bit more fan noise when they are on. The only thing that impressed me with a loaner ES350 recently was the seat cooling, it's much better than on the LS.

Thanks so much. It might be Sewell, I can check on that. Are ball joints easy to change? I am hoping to find things like that to change over the next few weeks.

If you run the AC on bi-level (half directed toward the floor) and fold up the rear floor mat to trap the cold air under the seat, the seat cooling may work marginally better.

Okay, have another question. I bought the car knowing that there was no sound coming through the speakers, just the navigation prompts. So in the trunk, the car has a crossfire VR142 amplifier in the back. It looks like this was added to bypass the ML amp. The amp is wired directly to the battery. The amp has power. When I go into the audio menu and adjust the volume ****, nothing happens. The is a little audio icon that shows volume on the menu page, and it's dark, nothing happens when I adjust the volume. Am i missing something? Could it be a fuse???
Also, I tried to override my NAV system, and now the car thinks I am in Washington DC. How do I get it to recalibrate back to my current location?

A new CL sponsor (Genicolor) is offering free touch up paint ($10 shipping) to members.
I ordered some yesterday and folks seem to be happy with the product.
