Thanks Dailow. I'm keeping my eyes open on other ones that pop up.

I purchased an 2000 LS400 and a 2002 LS430, both from New Jersey dealers. I am from out of state, and I must say the condition has been outstanding, showroom conditions on both cars. Neither vehicle has needed nothing more than routine maintenance and oil changes. I always look for cars in New Jersey and New Hampshire, nowhere else as far as the Northeast is concerned.

Coming from a 02 owner if your in the market for a ls get a 04-06 model year. That's if you pay attention to detail on your cars there look better and more tech hands down.

If you can get it for anywhere near $11,000 - $12,000 its a steal! At $14,500 I'd say that's near retail price. Sure its easy to just say get a 2004-2006 but whats your budget? If money is no object you have many to choose from. I myself would never by a car unless I can drive it and look it over. I know all the tricks of the used car trade and every dealer car I looked at used them. I would only buy a newer used CPO from a dealer and that was way more than I wanted to spend right now.

Its extremely difficult to find older affordable Ls430's out there for near $11,000 - $12,000 and if you do they have near 200,000 miles, they are tired or you can tell they were just cleaned up for a sale and were previously beat. My 2002 is near showroom condition in and out and runs even better. I paid $11,000 for it and would have paid more if the owner didn't come down that far. I wanted a super clean LS for under $13,000 and mine fits the bill more than I could have hoped for after looking at several LS's before it.
