2001 pearl white ML package
200k miles
Fair condition on the exterior excellent condition interior
Complete Lexus records
Paid 2000$ for it. I think I got a pretty fair deal. The fuse box in the trunk drivers side was acting up when I got it. Ordered 1 off eBay for under $200. Installed it and all the weird problems went away. There's still a few little gremlins that I need to take care of but overall I feel I got a steal of a deal for what the car is.

Same color, same thoughts. Cypress is a little different. The 18's look good but mine (5 spoke, silver) need new tires. I've heard about the possible ride quality issue. In the meantime, I'm running 17's (also 5 spoke, silver) with virtually new Michelin Premiers. LOL just realized that my spare is also an 18". My 04 does have the very slight whine at 70-80. My mechanic (ex Lexus factory) test drove my car but couldn't hear it until I mentioned it. Same w/ wife and friends. The car is solid at this point (110k, full service records) and runs great. Also a Sport which is hard to find. I just live with it. I still shop the 05-06 possibles on Craigs and Autotrader. There are a couple of colors that look great on these cars. Locally a dealer has a perfect 06 in Blue (70k, one owner, perfect interior/exterior) but asking is 16. A good Briarwood w/ tan interior? My wallet would lose some weight. Neighbor has a '10 460 in Grey and it's an F Sport. So far, I've avoided talking to him about it.

It was rediculously well maintained at the same Lexus dealer for 17 years. Everything that was on the maintenance schedule (or recommended by the dealer) was done without fail. The carfax has 34 service history records (printed out history from Lexus Drivers site, 29 pages). The car looks like it's 2 years old, and almost every single thing works. The underside has some surface corrosion (is it a Chicago car, afterall), but nothing at all serious.
One parking sensor is acting up, and I am replacing the struts and mounts (one front strut is starting to leak, so might was well do it all at once). Doing some bushings, and other small stuff. Already did the speaker surrounds. Tires had 7k miles on them, but I replaced with Michelin CrossClimate+, as the Dunlop SP Sport 5000's are not great. Not really much else to do, at this point.

I offered 14 for it. (15,655 out the door). Dealer said no. It's been listed for months. I can probably get 10 for my 04. If I pay 16 for the 06, out of the door for around 17,820. Private sale is the way to go out here.

Year - 2006
Color - Flint Mica + Ash
Mileage - 106,800
Package (ML or UL) - ML
Price - $9,000
Date Purchased - December 2018
Condition - Excellent.
Complete Lexus Service Records? - Incomplete. I will do the timing belt this summer.
Private Party or Dealer - Dealer
How Long Did You Search? - ~2 Weeks
City & State - Chicago, IL
Source - Cargurus
The initial list price was $12k, which dropped to $9800 over 50 days on the lot. Even at list price it was the best deal within 500 miles for an accident-free vehicle according to Cargurus. The had several offers of $9,000 from people out-of-state, and many calls asking if the timing belt was done. I've changed the timing belt on my 2000 Honda CRV, so I figure I can handle this one too. My father needs to do the timing belt on his '98 GS300, so we'll probably do them both together.
Problem areas:
-Loose center console. I tightened the hings bolts and now it works as good as new.
-Bit of a squeal from the serpentine belt. I already replaced it with a $16 Bando belt from Amazon.
-Drove it for >1k miles since I picked it up 5 days ago. I got a P403 error twice at low speeds. Might call the dealer about this. No visible exhaust leaks, so I'm going to replace the O2 sensor downstream from the cat and see if that fixes it.
I didn't get a steal of a deal or anything, but I'm happy with the price I paid and had a very positive experience at the dealership. Riding at 75mph on the highway is absolute bliss in this thing.

Wow is all i can say. I was about to purchase a 2010 LS 460 Black on Black with all records, but someone beat me to it. That is when I stumbled upon this beauty. 2006 White w/Tan interior ML, one owner in mint condition. They only drove it 11k miles since 2015..I know...amazing! Timing chain/water pump changed twice...unbelievable. Differential, coolant, transmission and brakes fluids all changed. Regular synthetic oil changes. Garage kept. I might have paid a little more, but after the test drive, it was worth it.
