We are new owners of a 2001LS and cannot believe all the features it has.
We looked at BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar and Audi.
The forums for those vehicles are full of problems and complaints.
We then looked at Lexus and were very surprised. Driving one and sitting in the back and being driven around sold us.
I am still learning all the features and cannot believe how advanced it is.
It is so quiet and smooth. The only indication the engine is idling is the tach.
We came from an 1986 Acura Legend front wheel drive and it is sure nice to not have to straighten the wheel when accelerating.
This should last a long time since it is mid 60,000.
As you have surmised, we are very happy with our new baby.

 

But i guess it did bad in the comparisons.
