Is there any way to play DVD's or stream from ipod or a hard drive on navigation screen ?

I have heard of bypass/hacks.. but i believe my ls430 ul doesn't even have a dvd player.

I've read about watching dvd's on stock screen, I just don't remember where I've read it.
You have a DVD player, it's in the trunk and a map DVD for your navi is in it.

Beat sonic offers a kit but your not looking at a cheap item its in the $400 price range i believe

Oh ok. I haven't thoroughly looked for a rom drive in the trunk. I haven't event read the owners manual.

I will look into beat sonic. But just out of curiosity. How would we navigate through movies? Will there be a user interface?

I called beat sonic. They have the dvd/NAV bypass but they do not provide a solution to play DVD in the OEM NAV unit.

I did come across a company; vaistech.com

they told me I would need to purchase a dvd player and then buy SoundLinQ2 (SL2Vu). This device will interface with the OEM screen
