Folding mirrors issue
01 LS430, with folding mirror issues. Basicly they do not fold anymore, but I do not care. But, they do a lot of jerking when you first put the key in the ignition. Can Lexus dealer turn off the folding function in the computer.

No dealer needed. Just leave the mirror switch in open mirrors position.
All other issues tackle as caddyowner mentioned you can search for, old topic really, all questions and problems were answered many times.
Good luck.

I gave you an answer. Let me elaborate a little more.
You have two mirror switches: one to adjust mirror glass to go up, down and right to left; second switch controls both mirrors folding/unfolding (plus auto mode where mirrors fold automatically when you turn ignition off and open when you turn ignition on). You can leave your second switch in open position all the time. You can try to clean electrical contacts of both switches:

If it does not help you need new ones. Mirror not folding/adjusting is a common problem with these cars. You can get new ones from sewellparts.com with a discount from CL, just register for free, or you can get used ones off eBay.

Folding Mirrors
Holaguys
For what its worth I am having both mirrors replaced again (2nd time) under CPO warranty thank god. Main problem is driver side does not always adjust left and right without repeatedly pushing the adjuster . Personally I suspect its just a dirty contact but stealership is either too lazy or trying to generate revenue.(in this case at lexus expense)
Well ok by me. Service writer said they have had problems with this in the 430. (Mine is a 2006).
