I have a 2001 LS 430 with UL package

my shock raising up and down button AND my radio "tune" word are not LIGHTING UP anymore.

can someone with the experience enlighten me what I need to purchase before I take the panel apart to fix??

Here is how to take apart. Once you do, you can see if it is a connection/socket issue and if not what bulb you will need to obtain:
