There is a suede-like padded fabric cover that goes over the pillar where the seatbelt guide electrically slides up and down. Mine looks a little tattered so I attempted to clean/trim the ratted fibers where the prior owner must have rubbed upon entry/exit. In doing so I made it a bit worse SO I called Lexus of Austin and low and behold it is still in the wearhouse new so I figured I better fork over the $155 with tax now while it is still available.
Has anyone ever changed one? If so, please detail the proceedure.
Thanks

I need to order and do this myself. The drivers side on my 05 Ultra is pretty worn down, but more from where you enter / exit the car vs the seatbelt moving.
Do you happen to have the part number of the item?

Part # 62412-0040-a0 garnish, ctr pil sop is what is printed on my reciept from Lexus of Austin. List $131, I got mine for $104. + Tax. To change, slide the small trim panel concealing the bolt attaching the seatbel to the actual side of the drivers seat and remove the bolt.then then move on to the pillar and calefully pull the lower plastic pillar off and away, there are 4 plastic trim clips holding it on this will expose 2 phillips screws securing the lower portion of the upper fabric covered garnish to the metal frame of the cars pillar. Slide it own and out (when you see the new part out of the package this will all make perfect sense) slide the seatbelt out and reverse this proceedure to install the new pillar garnish (you may need to pry the rubber fabric covered weatherstrips away from the front and rear door openings in the pillar area a bit). Whole swap took 10 minutes.
